WTB: 3.8L Serpentine Belt Tensioner

When we pulled the motor a piece of one of the tubes broke and I need a replacement. Does anybody have one sitting around?

I need a visual Kevin. I The tube that broke is the one that goes backwayd into the water pump. I almost thought about just sticking it back on and using some JBweld, but I can all but guaruntee that would leak....

It's only $73.99 at Autozone, Advance or Performance may have it cheaper. Shop around, go to advance with a local price that's lower than theirs and you'll get an additional 10% off. With the money you've been spending on this car, I don't know why you'd want to put a used part like a belt tensioner on there. Get a new one with a warranty and be done with it.

never mind i went and looked at mine, you wouldnt be able to get much treaded w/o blocking the flow.... It says the same tensioner was used on the Wbodys until 98

Let me get out to the garage during and see if i can get the W body one to work on the F body setup, if thats the case you might be better off w/ a Wbody one, the elbows are palstic and cheaper to replace LOL

If not the 98+ one uses the same plastic elbows and is ~$62 @ rock auto

They sound a lot cheaper now than when I replaced my old one in '02. Might as well check on the elbow from the w/p while you're at it.

Thanks for the welcome, once i figure out everything with this forum i might start a thread on my swap/build process and pics of the golddigger(pewter car)...too much money put into this thing lol
