Wanted: 4th gen E-Brake cable.

Looking for a new e brake cable. Mine is broken by the handle and parking in gear is getting old.

That looks like it, are they all two pieces?

I havnt looked at it more than seeing it was broken near the handle.

It's actually 3 pieces - and you'll intimately know it when you change it. The e-bay is for the handle to a T (you can see the "T" in the e-bay ad picture). The T will be at about the middle of your driveshaft. There will be one cable each that goes from the driver's and passenger's rear tires and then connects to the T. So when you pull the e-brake handle, the T pulls both of the cables that go to each disk/drum. The drum and disk cables are different so when I upgraded to the 98+ disk rear end I had to change the e-brake cables. Let me tell you now - it's not fun.

Mine is a stock disc set up so it should be fairly straight forward. Ill pick it up later tonight.

It'll be straight forward but you'll have just as much fun as what I had. From the sounds of it, you'll have to disconnect the two e-brake cables at the T, then get the new cable in place and hook the two cables back up to the T. The T is where the fun is - it's not fun getting those cables into the T.

sounds like something I should have fixed when I had the trans and everything else out.
