Anyone know where I can buy/rent a high quality hydraulic brake line flaring tool locally? I'd settle for a vice mounted high pressure one as well. I've busted two crappy flaring tools on the stainless steel line I'm using on the Camaro. Any help would be great. Thanks.

why are you using stainless steel?
At work we do not use stainless steel brake lines because they are such a ***** to tighten and not have them leak!
Maybe call K-tool, or another quality tool supplier snap on, matco etc.
Might even be worth calling up inline tube.Last edited by bri2203; July 6th, 2010, 10:07 PM.

Maybe because he wants it to last more than 3 years...??? What size/style flares? I have a friend with a hydraulic bender who lives in Madison Heights. Not sure how close that is to Ferndale. I could ask if you could use/rent it if that's not too far of a hike.2005 Yamaha R6

OEM use steel lines that have a coating on them. It weird how some lines will last 10 year and if driven in the right climate it they will last 40+ years...Originally posted by ITSSLOW View PostMaybe because he wants it to last more than 3 years...??? Kevin, thanks but I'm good for now. I'm definitely not going to make my deadline of end of this weekend for fire up given the fact that I've got a couple other things missing (I just updated my swap thread with specifics). I should have the Mastercool kit in my hands by end of Friday. Thanks again.
