Im looking for a plastic gas tank out of a later fourth gen (ls1 years) with the charcoal canister and preferably the rest all there.

Something wrong with the tank on the SS? Or you gonna use it on a 3rd gen?

The LS1 tank uses a 1 line fuel system (the return line is back by the fuel filter and the pressure regulator is in the tank rather then the fuel rail). So it cleans up the fuel lines a little, its lighter, >>>it wont rust<<< and it has the evap (charcoal) canister built into the top of the tank.Originally posted by wezelestrying to loose weight or update the fuel system? or maybe a little of both at the same time

And yea dave its a bolt in - fuel plumbing mods needed cause of the 1 line design and the sending unit is diff.

You should just use your mom's car as a parts donor for yours. It has everything you want except the 6 speed.
