  • Friend wants a Camaro/ Firebird or (Mustang)

    Hi All,

I've a friend who wants to buy a 65-70 Camaro, Firedbird or Mustang for his Mom. She's about 60-65 years old. They only want to spend about 10k. They're not looking for perfect obviously, just something that's reasonably clean and that she can drive without worrying about it.

I'd appreciate any help on this. Thanks!!

    Dave

You will not find a reasonable clean, reliable 1st gen camaro/firebird(1967-1969) for $10,000. Mustangs of that vintage are usually more affordable.

That's because Camaros and Firebirds from that era are SOO much more BA. lol

Regardless of my personal feelings on the vehicles he is looking for, here are a couple of promising links on CL:

          '66 Mustang 302/4 speed Auto $10,000
          http://toledo.craigslist.org/cto/1766521366.html

          '65 Mustang 6 Cylinder Auto $8,500
          http://toledo.craigslist.org/cto/1751814837.html

          '65 Mustang 351W 5 Speed Manual $8,000
          http://toledo.craigslist.org/cto/1736841357.html

'65 Mustang-Runs good, but needs some body work $4,000
          http://toledo.craigslist.org/cto/1715495382.html

          '65 Mustang 6 Cylinder $8,500
          http://toledo.craigslist.org/cto/1693966654.html

I couldn't find any 1st or early 2nd gen F-Bodies in the price range you specified, so it looks like either you're going to have to look at newer (mid/late 70's) F-Bodies, or settle for a Mustang.
