    Looking for some valve spring locks for my LS1 7* locks

    I should have some LS6 locks in about a week. Low miles off of #243 castings.

    Used to own a Firebird.

        Yeah I'll likely be picking up my heads on Sat. or Sun. then I can take the locks off.

        What happened to the ones you have/had?

            what are you using? stock or 7degree?

              Was told stock is 7* i have comp 918 springs belive its 2368 16 # for the comps not for sure them are 7*. Do i need 7* locks?

                  The matching retainers for Comp 26918-16 beeehive springs are : Steel 774 or titanium 772.
                  Valve locks are 7 degree 623-16

                    I have stock retainers i was told i wouldnt need to upgrade my retainers, am i gonna have to?

                      I'd say it depends on the cam and what you're going to spin it up to. I'll be running Ti retainers and I'm only going to spin to 6300 maybe 6400.

                        stock retainers should be fine. you need stock locks though.
                        7 degree are alot different
