you could probably find a complete one for like 275.. I think its like 125 bucks or so for gears and install kit, maybe less, its been a while since I bought my gears new. You can sometimes find them used for like 75 bucks?Originally posted by Z28ISGR8 View PostHow much is a used ten bolt with 3.73's in it? (ballpark)-Derek-

Intriguing.....That would serve my purpose more so than buying a completely new rearend for $2000. It's a relatively easy swap as well isn't it?Originally posted by redfbird99 View Postyou could probably find a complete one for like 275.. maybe a 4th gen is different? I had to update my carrier so when I installed 3.73's it was rather $$$$$
I had a stock series 2 carrier and had to update to a series 3.
I still love the 3.73's in my car though, well worth the $$.sigpic

agreed. dont tamper with them. bolt on some strength if you want (girdle, gussets) but otherwise run them as they are.Originally posted by DETROITMUSCLE View PostThis coming from the guy that broke his 10 bolt, get over it. 10 bolts are weak and putting a steeper gear in one is only asking for it to break sooner its a proven fact.-Joel
