My in-laws want to get my a graduation present for college since they have tried helping a few other people out with going but they both dropped and I'm the only one to stick with it. So what we are looking for is something under $5k. They are hoping to find someplace that will take a trade on their van.

2000 Ford Van (full size) with 160k miles, front end was all redone last summer, new battery put in it recently, van is fully loaded with cloth interior.

What I'm looking for mostly is T-tops. I would realllllly like a V8 and manual but those are not a must. 3rd of 4th gen is fine, wife would prefer 4th gen though, but I'm not worried about it if it's a manual because she doesn't know how to drive one and probably won't learn.

Like I said, the v8 and manual is not a necessity. I can't be too picky because I'm not the one paying for it. I have been trying to hold for the ttops though, but they've been mostly finding hard tops.

ask for money and save up until you have enough to get what you want? You'll end up losing some money if you get one for now just to sell it off for something else later.

They know me with money to well. They where just gonna give me money, but they know I'd put it towards bills and stuff, which they don't want. Sure I'd spend some of it on me. Also they want to get ride of their van, and once I get a Fbody, the Colbalt will be going back to them since it is their car and they are just letting us use it.

There is a dealer in flat rock mi. the last time i was by there they had a green 97 Z28. Ttop,6spd,tan leather interior,exhaust and i think they wanted like 3,500. the dealer is called Brinks Auto and its on Telegraph. He loves Camaros so he gets them in alot. We purchased our 94 from him. Really nice guy. Heres a few pics of it actually....
