  • 3rd gen 90 to 92 open differental rearend 10 bolt

Anyone got one that they want to sell cheap? Or 10 bolt with disk brakes, I don't want the brake setup. I am going to a LS1 brake and posi setup and need a 3rd gen 10 bolt housing with axles to swap everything from a 2001 10 bolt into.

I'd sell mine to out towards a upgrade rear end for my car. How soon you need one? Mine is still in the car but couldn't be to long to take out. What would you offer for it?

you have a complete 9 bolt posi with disc's and 3.27 gears that your not going to use? I was looking for a 4th gen rear but all I was looking for was a posi disc rear with better gears... If there is a deal to work out here let me know Mine is a 92 open diff with 3.08 gears drum brakes.

Ok here's the deal I am picking up the 10 bolt out of 2001 SS that had a automatic with 17,000 miles. Once I have the rearend in my hands I will be able to tell you whats going to happen with mine. The 9 bolt in my car now is complete and the only thing it will need is new calipers and brake pads and it has 88,000 mines on it and the posi works great.

lol I am a little confused and you want a 90-92 open diff rear? Well if your looking to get rid of the pois/disc out of your car I would love to make a deal of some sort. I could pull mine out of my car fairly quick. Like I said its a 1992 RS open diff 3.08 gears and drum brakes no noises/leaks blah blah. But I'd have to do some quick research I noticed you want a 10 bolt... Not sure if mine is or not you may know better then me tho.

Count the bolts around the diff cover. 10 bolt has 10 9 bolt has 9. I want the 10 bolt you have because it has 28 spline axles and thats what I need plus your housing to swap everything from the LS1 rear end to a 3rd gen rearend and I will have a rear end thats made to fit our cars and it won't be 2 inches wide plus I will have bigger rear brakes.

Wow makes sense doing that kind of a swap. Well I will for sure count the bolts for you or look over on tgo for the answer. I'd be interested in a trade for your thirdgen rear with posi and disc with a little cash on my end if that's something you are thinking. PM me when you get the details and if your interested. I do believe mine is a 10 bolt but I will confirm it for you.

83 won't work as it has 26 spline axles

Alright so I just confirmed on TGO that my car Stock had 10 bolt open diff and 28 slpine axles all that you are looking for. Next time I head over to my car I will look underneath her but I am 99% sure she is stock in the rear. So I would gladly pull it out and work out a deal for the rear that you have and some cash if its all fair? LMK if your interested and as long as you dont want it tomorrow we could work something out.
