Would like to find a rear bumper cover for my 2002 Camaro, standard configuration. It'd be great if it were Bright Rally Red so I could avoid having to try and match the factory paint. Gotta be a factory cover, no aftermarket covers please.

It looks like it's an ill-fitting aftermarket cover, and it was badly painted. It also has a couple pf spots where the paint flaked off down to the primer. I wet sanded the horizontal surfaces a little to try and make it look less heinous, but it still is saggy and looks like a$$. Maybe I just need a Borla exhaust system to prop it up, and draw attention away from it.Originally posted by Joedashredder93 View PostGood Luck. Did something happen to it?

Well the borla would definitely do it, lol. My car was rear ended from the prev owner and it seems to have somewhat the same problem (doesn't look flush and lines aren't prefect), the paint is cracking almost like they didn't mix enough flex in the paint. I would like mine repainted as well but I need the front bumper and quarter re-sprayed first.
Like I said good luck with your search

Well, there goes my back-up plan. I was going to ask what condition your rear bumper cover was in, and then I was going to ask for the address of where you park your car at night! LOL!Originally posted by Joedashredder93 View PostWell the borla would definitely do it, lol. Yeah, I think we have the same problem -- I guess the good news is that the vertical surfaces don't look bad at all and have a pretty decent gloss. It's just the horizontal part just underneath the tail light panel ("Berger panel") that sucks, and of course it's the part that you always see every time you use the trunk.
If I end up going down to Cleveland Pick-A-Part, I'll let you know. They have a couple of Bright Rally Red Camaros that they've dismantled, and they have a few bumper covers for both front and rear. I bought my passenger door from them, which came from a 35th Anniversary SS vert that had been accordioned on a freeway. Even if you're not ready to buy anything quite yet, maybe I can get you some prices and a condition report. It definitely helps if you don't have to respray and get a part that still has factory paint.

Thanks, I really appreciate that. I was looking around today and realized that I really should get the front bumper repainted if it isn't too pitted by now, the rear bumper cover is cracking, that piece of quarter right behind the passenger door is very gaudy, and I would like both doors repainted because of all the nicks from rings and keys. I should start getting quotes soon because to me paint comes first then I can spend money on other things. I hate driving cars that have flaws, heck i'm embarrassed to drive my car dirty
I wonder if they have a boot or some SS parts for cheap like a spoiler, lolLast edited by Joedashredder93; January 20th, 2010, 06:36 PM.

There are some SS parts, but not for cheap. You'll have to keep plying craigslist and eBay for the bargains.
