  • Socket 939 CPU need ASAP

I need a Socket 939 CPU for my PC. Looking to buy tomorrow when I get paid. I found a new AMD 3500+ for $30 shipped so looking for maybe a used one for cheaper.

Ya, if I don't get any bites by tomorrow, I already found one on ebay I'm gonna buy. Check my Facebook for how I know it's my CPU. Don't feel like typing it again.

Well, hopefully it is the CPU.

Never overclocked a PC before. PC was built in spring 05, so it's getting there in age. Maybe I'll try with the new one, my motherboard is set up for it

I still find it odd that it died. I built mine in January '06, and overclocked it for quite some time (nothing ridiculous, but as high as I could go without changing the core voltage). Hope it doesn't mean anything...

I dunno, hope the new CPU fixes it. If not, I'll be parting out the computer minus the motherboard.
