blew both head gaskets at only 7psi, replaced the stock rubber ones w some cometics, found out its .30 over(fresh rebuild). Put it back together then friend touched the hot and ground wires on the starter and it fried the wire going to the alternator.

Now the when you pull out the battery shut off, with out the key in the ignition, the shift light, security light come on. and the windows go down when pushed up, and it wont turn over, fuel pump dont come on

I looked at the harness under the dash and it's a rat nest. Something has to be fried, I figured redoing the harness and starting on a clean slate could be the trick??

you might have fried the PCM. and the BCM. that would account for the windows going down.

That's a good price for the harness if that is what it's for.

Yeah that's cheaper than most people sell them privately.

I paid 109 for a 95 harness off Ebay and it was missing a few trans wires but that isn't a big deal to me.

I paid $65 shipped for my 1995 LT1 A4 engine harness that I bought as a spare around Thanksgiving. The guy was parting out his LT1 pull out and I asked if the harness was for sale. He said yes and to make an offer so I lowballed him and said how about $50. He replied and said he'd do $65 shipped. I figure he spent $15 in shipping alone so I still got it for $50.

Found it on www.car-part.com. Great resource for those hard to find parts. Links to most salvage yards and shows quality of parts, grade and price.

I was charged 20.00 to have mine shipped but I also have an M6 and those are way hard to find.
You can find A4's all day and yes they are cheaper
