Anyone have any suggestions for better brakes for my firebird. Before I add any more $$$ I want to know that my car car stop on a dime. If anyone has a set of gently used brakes let me know. I'm thinking about WIlwood or SSBC. I have heard good things about them. Thanks!

I have SSBC rotors and pads on all 4's. they're pretty cool looking, i don't know that they make me stop any better though. i'm sure if/when you upgrade to rear disc's you will feel a good difference!1998 Camaro SS Bullseye Turbo

I don't think its necesary to go all out on a Baer system but I agree that disc brakes would help a considerable amount. It would have been nice if you could put up one of Josh's rear ends.Doing less with more

Sell your ride, pay off the remaining balance on the loan, buy a Formula (found one for $4500) and upgrade the brakes on that to cross drilled/slotted rotors and 'vette dual-piston calipers. That would be awesome.Nick H.

Tell you the truth I was supposed to. Josh and I had agreed to trade my Z06 wheels for his old tailights and rear end including the brakes. But I have not heard back form him on it and now he is talking about selling his car.Originally posted by DETROITMUSCLEI don't think its necesary to go all out on a Baer system but I agree that disc brakes would help a considerable amount. I'll PM him tonight about it.
I would love be able to afford a Baer setup. In fact I'd rather have that than a faster motor. Scary huh? I just think that if you are going to build a fast car, then you had better be able to stop that fast car and these V^ brakes are not cutting it. If anyone runs across a solution to my problem I would be interested. Thanks!!!
