Yea, my buddies ram had a 4.7 and it pushed it around quite well, I was impressed when he said it was only a 4.7.

The red one? I was tempted by that, went and checked it out a couple times since I had to stare at it everytime I left work. It went for sale on a thursday, I think I saw 20 cars stop by while I was painting a roof at work, saturday afternoon it was gone.. I wondered how it could have been that PERFECT seeing as it had 90k miles, It was flawless because it was repainted, I looked underneath and there was overspray all over.

I'll keep my eye out for ya man, don't usually see too many of these go up for sale lately.

yes that is the one, but no it was not repainted. He simply had the cab corners redone which is a very common rust area on those trucks. My dads 02 has some bubbling there and it only has 40K well kept miles on it.

My 4.7 Dakota got 14.5mpg Highway 13 city with the 3.70 rear gear...real peppy truck.

I know it was a 20 some gallon tank.

But I was getting more towards 18mpg total combined highway and city.
I drove 150 miles a week back and forth to work going on an average 60mph.

But the 4.7 was VERY peppy, quickest SUV I ever drove.
BUT....you put a snowmobile trailer behind it, you knew the trailer was there that's for sure. And that was only a 2 place.

If I'm going to spend the $$ on a Chevy/GMC, I would like the newer body style 99 and newer.

Looking at a 1999 Chevy Tahoe. 5.7L He will take $5600.00 for it. 118,000 miles on it.

But do I really want a Tahoe? It's very clean with no rust.
But a 4 door Tahoe?? It does have aftermarket rims and nice tires on it though LOL!

LOL....a Tahoe is a little bigger.
Plus, I don't think there that good on gas.
I know a truck would be better.

but I'm just a single guy, do I really want a 4 door Tahoe?
LOL...the guy is the 2nd owner. And bought it to drive to Colorado and back with his family. Now he's selling it.

I just thought it was a bit big for a single guy like myself.

True there. There is a lot of room. plus I know it will haul our 4 place with no problems.

I guess I can try to talk the guy down more. He was at $5900.00.
He said he would take $5600.00.
If I blue book it...it's worth a lot more then hes asking.
Then sell it in the spring.
I'm not sure, I really would like a truck.

I would swap my truck for a tahoe anyday simply for the matter of having it covered. There are a lot of times where it would have been nice to have it covered and I even have a cover on my truck bed but it still isn't 100% clean. Tahoe would be a great buy go for it! sell it in the spring if you dont' want it
