The War Room in Clarkston...we took the camaro there last summer. They weld a bung into it and charge something like 125 for the first hour 75 every hour after that or something.

    Used to own a Firebird.

its hard to believe that the handful of shops people threw out there are all my options..

I'm not planning on driving it untuned, and I don't think trying to find a better deal is really cheaping out.. cheaping out would be doing nothing at all.

I'm in a tough spot financially.. so if i can get it for a better deal than 400 bucks.. thats what im gonna do, which is why i was asking other people if they knew anyone or anywhere that would work for me. I'm not expecting free.. just something more affordable.

My car was on the dyno for 8 hours when it was first done, and the tune still isn't done.

Like DetroitMuscle is saying. Do not cheap out on a tune. You will regret it, it's not something that you should have just a schmuck off the street do. Setting your timing and fuel is very important and should be done correctly or you'll have major problems down the road.

I'd just save up if I were you. It's Feb. right now, people are getting their tax returns back, maybe you should toss $200 out of that and get a tune done the right way. Pick your tuner wisely.
the thing is.. my car is carb'd.. it shouldnt take forever to do.. and it doesnt have to be perfect.. my cars not a race car.. I just need a base tuning so that I dont have to worry about hurting the engine.. and be able to drive it around without worries.

Then just take it to your local mechanic shop and have him tune the carb and get the jetting and everything correct.
