  • Oil pan and pick up for a LS motor

Just like the title says, I'm looking for an fbody oil pan and pick up for a LS motor. Everything to change over from a truck pan to an fbody pan.
This is for a project a buddy is working on.
If you have one to get rid of please let me know how much and were it is located.
Or if you know where to pick one up at a good price that would be helpful too.
    Thanks

For what pan? The vette, gto, fbodys, and trucks all used different deflectors, trays, pans, pickups. I have a truck deflector, tray, pickup and pan sitting in my garage. Just need a pan gasket and oil pump o ring.

It's a custom application. He has a 5.3 truck motor and he needs a shallower pan to fit the space it needs to go. As far as what car pan I'm not sure. Someone told him an fbody pan would work for what he needed. I'm not sure how accurate that is but if anyone has a recommendation please let me know.

Because of its fairly shallow deapth and design the fbody pan is pretty commonly used for custom stuff. However if your looking for all out super shallow check the corvette pan.

Thanks. I'm pretty sure a fbody pan will work for what he needs.
Anybody have a pan and everything to change over from a truck pan?

If the vette pan is shallower than the fbody pan it would work. More clearance wouldn't be bad.
I just haven't done a lot of looking between the two yet.
PM me with a price you would like to get and I'll let my buddy know. Thanks.

Dang - I never realized how freaking tiny the oil pans are on the LSx series. Compared to an LT1 it's not even a pan it's more like a flat plate.

Thanks sman, that's what I was just going to look up. Glad I checked this first.
I'll have to go take some measurements and see what's going to fit.

Looks like the fbody pan is going to work the best.
Anyone have one kicking around that they don't need?
Looking for one quick so the project can get up and running.

Only the fbody and vette are this way, the trucks and gto are more like what your used to seeing.
