  • 4th Gen Fuel Pump

    Just throwing this out there: Would anyone would happen to have a stock pump module with relatively low miles on it out here? Trying to keep a couple parts that are on the chopping block if I can find a reasonably priced one to install in place of my OEM 13 year old one. Thanks.

      I have one from '99 LS1. Car had 180k on it though, doubt the fuel pump was original but its possible. $20 picked up

          Yeah, for my Firebird there were 3 different pumps, and man are they a BIATCH to replace on a 97.

            Mine is a '96 'Bird and I'm pretty sure it's metal. Haven't broken into it yet though. Yes, I'm looking for the entire thing. It has the lines coming off it and has the sending unit as part of it.

              I'll tell you what, that doesn't really sound too bad. I'll check to see what years are compatible and let you know. Could you throw me a price in the interim?

              *edit* Looks like, according to Rock Auto, the two fuels pumps ('96 Firebird/'98 TA) have different part numbers.

                V6 and v8 had different assemblys. Also the metal tanks had a different one from the plastics, all pre 99 were metal, 99 up was plastic. You need a v6 metal tank one.

                * I think *

                  Sounds about right to me. I'm running V8 injectors on the new motor (LS1s [26lb]), so I think (not sure) if it wouldn't be so bad to run a V8 pump.
