i usually just buy cheap whistlers off ebay - they usually are rated best for the money in independent studies (that said - i too think they are largely useless for city driving unless youre trying to find a bank)

and fyi RMR Jammer (Phazer...etc) products are all smoke and mirrors and have failed virtually every independent test theyve been put through

I know people say they failed test but for awhile I was using my escort radar detector and every time I got hit and was doing atleast 10 over I never got pulled over as well as the few times I was doing 15-20 over. They seem to work.

I also use to own one and bought into the hype until i started reading the test reviews - at which point i just went ahead and sold if on ebay.

I've gone by cops in my Jimmy and in m Trailblazer going 10 over and haven't gotten pulled over. Most of the time as long as you're not driving like a jerk, in a clear area of the free way, etc, and you're going over they seem to just let it slide.
