  • Wanted: Motorcyle

I am considering buying a motorcycle. I am just looking right now but want to become more informed about what is a good deal for a bike. If any of you guys runs across something that stands out please let me know. I am looking for something sporty like a cruiser or crotch rocket. I'm sure there are other guys interested in this too. So post away!

I've got an anniversary edition 2003 HD Fatboy with 4k miles I'm selling...it's beautiful silver over black and chromed like my car...I guess sporty is in the mind of the owner but one things for sure...IT AIN'T RICE

Cool. But from your description it may be out of my price range. This would be my first bike and I'd hate to say I spent more for a bike than I di for my car. Thank you though. Post some pics. I'm sure someone else may be interested.

Unfortunately I believe whole heartedly in the rice bikes. They are built well and will last a long time and cost a hell of a lot less than a Harley. I used to ride 6-8 years ago and I had 3 different bikes. A YZF600R, a ZX-11, and a GSXR750. My favorite of those is probably the 600. If I were you I'd look at any of the big 4 (honda, yamaha, kawasaki, or suziki) as they all make good bikes and look for a used 600. Especially for your age, a 600 will be way cheaper on insurance. And 600's are very fast and fun, just respect it. Plus 600's are light and fun in the curves. A good used one will probably run you $4-6k. You could pick up a new one for under $10k as well.

You could also take a look at european bikes too, very nice bikes. Maybe a BMW, my brother in law has one he bought for $7k last year. Its a sport tour bike, 1100cc twin. Sweet ride. At least then they can't call it rice.
