looking for a 97-02 firebird/ trans am stock guage bezel needs to have no damage.I have heard that the newer bezel will work in my 1996 car please tell me if i am wrong. nothing is wrong with mine i just like the look of the newer guages with the bezel.

If you have any manuals on each year, take a look at the wiring diagrams for the gauge cluster. I'm not sure how much of a difference there was on 93-96 and 97+ with the Firebirds/TAs but on the Camaro the plug was entirely different. I had to rewire the harness plug to the newer style but once the plug was wired up then yes the newer gauge worked fine.

I'm pretty sure the only difference would be the digital odometer. Other than that they look the same for the Trans Am's.

You should be able to find one on ebay, just keep your eye on it.

He just needs the bezel, not the enrire gauge cluster (if I'm reading correctly) The bezel goes over the gauges. I have a T/A bezel in my 99 SS.

Snap, good point, Creight. Clearly says bezel.

sorry for any confusion, I want just the bezel, only if the bezel will go over top of the guages without covering anything up.

should look like this (top pic), i just want the black plasic that outlines the guages but i think it is a unit, i hope it would not cover up anything on my guages cause they are set up a little different without the digital display.also only looking for a unit with no nicks or scratches

Lining up all the marks was a pain. I think its off on the right side of the speedo.
