I Want A Six Speed!!!!

Well, like the title says, I want a 6-speed trans. This means that I need everything that is required to do the swap. I would really like to buy it seperately so I can actually afford to buy some parts, but if anyone has a package deal they'd like to do, I would still be interested.

I've got some idea what I'll need, so I guess I'll make a list:

T56 Manual Transmission
LT1/T56 Flywheel
1993 ECM for T56-equipped vehicle
Clutch and Pressure Plate
Clutch Pedal setup
Clutch Master and Slave Cylinders
T56 Transmission Crossmember
Driveshaft from T56-equipped vehicle
Shifter, lower shift boot
Upper Shift Boot and Center Console from T56-equipped F-Body
T56 Wiring Harness

And anything else I'll need to do this.

Willing to throw my 700R4 in on a trade, if anyone's interested.

Unless somebody is interested in swapping vehicles? It's a far shot, but I thought it was worth a try. . . lol

Think he'll trade for a 700R4 with 160k on it? lol I'll see what I can some up with. Probably won't happen though, not unless I sell my truck for twice what I'm asking for it. . . lol

your going to have to add a lot of cash for a swap. I see people selling swaps all the times and T56 swaps go for usually 2k or so with a good trans where as good A4 swaps go for about 800 with a good trans. Also, you do know how much work and/or labor is involved in this right?

Yep. I know exactly what's involved in this. I realize that many people are going to tell me to sell my car and buy a 6 speed car, but I really don't think I'll get enough out of my car to do that. Plus, I've got a lot of work into this car already, it would take a lot of work to swap everything onto the new car. IDK, if you guys can think of anyone who has an LT1 6-Speed car I could get for about $4500, I think I could get that out of my car if I sold it.

Otherwise, I'm going to start piecing together a "Swap Kit" with all of the less expensive parts, while I save up for the trans and clutch kit. Either that or I'll sell the truck to get a DD with a manual trans.

just save your money and put it in the bank for when something breaks and you don;t have any money to fix it
