Too bad my car has 118,000 miles. I wouldn't mind selling it so I could go buy something quicker.

I figure I will drive it another year and get some use out of my new tires. Look for a for sale ad next spring.

Pretty close. My V6 auto gets 22-23 and my SS 6 speed gets 20-21 and I drive both pretty hard.

My 3.8, 5 speed usually get 26 mpg combined. The worst I have gotten was 24 and the best I have got was 30.5.

The LS1 delivers great fuel econmy but below I compared the overall cost of ownership. Comparisons based on which is more economical.

With all of that said I wish I would have bought an LS1. Its hard to put a cost on fun. If all goes at plan my next car will be a Cobalt SS. Insureance will suck but it will be nice to have a car that is a second faster.

then you better walk around in the fred flintstone car, any mechanical car regardless of mileage can and will have problems lol, i suppose chances are less though in a low mile car.

Ive been working on cars every last spare minute ive had since i got home from school.... be it the Z28 or Z71. Im not even done getting the Z71 ready to sell yet. I need a break for at least a month!

IMO - there is no reason to throw gas away with a slushbox unless its a vehicle im going to be pulling trailers with. standard transmissions = free gas mileage.
