  • 3.23 Gears

We're taking the Detroit Locker and 3.73's out of the Trans Am and I need a set of 3.23s. Also can someone verify this will work in a 2000 A4 Trans Am??

That posi says it's for a 3.08 and down gear. It won't work if you're looking to do 3.23's. I believe the 3.08's and lower are a 2 series carrier vs the 3 series for the bigger gears.

I've got a set of 3.23s in the rear end I took out of my car. OEM ring and pinion, less than 86k miles. I'll give you the whole rear end for $50 if you want it. Willing to negotiate, it's just taking up space right now.

So that means I could put a set of 2.73's in then??

That's what she actually wants back in the car.

She wants me to build it to get 30+ mpg.

I'd trade but 95% of the reason we're taking this setup out is because it whines, clunks, etc.

shouldnt, I havent heard mine at all yet, then again my exhaust is a tad on the loud side and my gears have 100 miles on them with posi at 10k from previous owner. lol
