that motor sounds good and appears not to shake/miss. the howling sounds like low power steering fluid. check the motor oil and make sure it's not loaded up with honey oil to disguise bad rings. pull the pvc valve out of the left hand rocker cover & see if it pushes a lot of blowby smoke when you race the engine a little. if it don't smoke from the valve cover holes or tailpipe while it is running it looks like a good buy for $300. a little blue smoke at startup is ok as long as it quits within 15 seconds or so. you can ditch the computer controlled carb & distributor for an older Q-jet & HEI distributor.

well the engine is in my garage it went really smooth and the guy had a few 3rd gens i gave him the info on this site so that he could try to sell one of his cars that he is going to sell and so that if he needs help or needs to find parts he had help. i will get pics up asap of the engine it seems to be in decent shape it needs a few things but not much i am going to give it a tune up and a new carb because the one that is on it is electronic but it dont seem to be a bad engine we will se how she works when it is in the car.
thank you for all your advise and thank you adam for finding this engine and posting it up. i really apreciate all the help.
            thank you Dustin
