  • Wanted: Lube tech Probably around $9/hr

Just thought I'd get the word out that the Ford dealership I work at is looking for a Lube tech.. Not a full service tech like me or the other guys, but someone that does nothing but oil/lube jobs. Its an hourly position and I believe you'd be making somewhere around $9/hr. Thats about what the guy makes thats there now, with less than a year in, but he's leaving for a co-op with the road commission so his spot is opening up. The position doesnt require much at all for tools and they may even supply them. But even if you need anything all you would need is an air chuck/gauge, torque sticks, oil filter wrench's. Stuff like that. Maybe an impact wrench. I'm not sure if the shop supplies that or not. But a cheapy Craftsman would suffice for wheel duty.

I'd like to see someone get the spot thats at least a car guy.
    Shift is 8am-5:30pm

So if anyone wants a job and is fairly close to Marshall, MI then this might be a good opportunity to get your foot in the door. As work picks up(kinda slow at the moment) you may be able to slide into a flat rate service tech position with wages in the $16-22/hr range.

The position starts at the beginning of May. The guy there now leaves at the end of the month.

Networking kicks butt. Hope I helped someone out.

The dealership is just off I-69 at exit 36. About 1/10th of a mile east of the highway. This is a super easy job. Like I said its been pretty slow so you'd be standing around quite a bit. Good opportunity to watch the rest of us tech's and learn when your not busy.

Yes, its Boshears Ford in Marshall, MI
          15081 W Michigan Ave
          Marshall, MI 49068
          (269) 781-3981
I-69 exit 36. The first exit south of I-94

If you open the bmp file attached its where the "1" is on the map

If you call, ask for the service manager Todd Blair. Ask to schedule an interview. DONT JUST SHOW UP EXPECTING ONE, someone has already tried that and it didnt end well. I got my interview within 5 hours of calling. So be prepared to get put on the spot. Demonstrates a little motivation.
