  • passenger upper strut mount needed

yesterday oif1vet, myself, and another friend attempted to replace my front struts(thanks larry). well the drivers side went pretty well, but the passenger side was a pain. we couldnt get the upper mount off the strut as the sleeve had rusted itself to the strut shaft. now i need the upper mount. called around and they arent very cheap, so i thought maybe id try here first. thanks

I've got a driver side that I'd give you a deal on. I ended up paying just under $100 for the passenger side from NAPA a few weeks ago. Be sure to keep the top part that goes on the inside of the mount. They didn't include that with the replacement which is stupid.

hey larry, was wondering how the hand was feeling today. i havent mentioned this yet but when we came to the conclusion that there was nothing more we could do until i get the new part, because the car was sitting in the middle of the garage, we needed to move it so my wife could get her car in there. well i jacked up the front end with my floor jack and larry and my friend dave were pushing the car as i pulled with the jack just to get it on one side of the garage. well the jack got caught up on the floor drain and we actually pushed the car off the jack and larrys hand got caught between the fender and upper control arm. dave and i had to pick up the car to get his hand out. he seemed ok but complained of a finger. sorry it happened but glad it wasnt more serious. dave got some pics as we tried to get the car off the floor of the garage but ive yet to see them.

Just buy a NAPA one. Maybe Autozone has them for a tiny bit cheaper? If the top inner rubber part is damaged too, then you may need to buy a GM unit?
