i think im gonna have to settle with an auto if i dont find one soon... its a hella of a swap though but well worth it... the weight ratio is almost 50 50 even the cars handle like a dream... baby brother to the TA... dont go overkill and toss a small block in one though... not worth it a s/c 3800 or a northstar v-8 is perfect... my first real car was a fiero... ive had 2 others sence thenOriginally posted by Frank The TankTook the restrictor plate off to give the Red Dragon a little more juice. But it's not exactly street legal, so keep it on the down low.

Guy that used to work in the building next door to us had one with some sort of V8 swap, maybe northstar because thats pretty common but that thing sounded sick. Too bad I was stock then and didn't know much better or I'd have asked him to run em.Doing less with more

i dont know ive seen built fieros... there is a nice fieros of michigan club i use to go to every summer... some would go all out toss lambo kits on, engines and all... a v-12 in a car half the size of yours... they are fun for sure and you still get the same low to the ground feel if not lower than in a f body... minus the 2 seats... and so easy to make fast... i saw a 3800 turbo in one pushing like 9psi.. ran mid 8's easy...Originally posted by Frank The TankTook the restrictor plate off to give the Red Dragon a little more juice. do the 3800 a small block is fun but the weight ruins the car... its just a tire burner then... and the 3800 will bolt right in with just an adapter... to the manual... and if you wanna run an auto like outta a grand prix... then its 2 new mounts and custom half shafts... really easy swap though just take the back off toss the new one in and make sure its straight... only problem is cooling the rad.. is way up front on a big v-6 or v-8 it over heats really fast.. i mocked up a air damn and put the rad where the trunk space use to be on the last 3800... seemed to work great... if you find one let me know ill help you through it one of my favorite cars to mess with... and you cant beat speakers in the headrest...lol i need a set of the seats for the t/aOriginally posted by Frank The TankTook the restrictor plate off to give the Red Dragon a little more juice. You're probably not interested (or have the money) since you went to pick up another GTA today, but in the Bargain Corner there is an '86 Fiero 4 Cylinder 5 speed. "Run/looks good. New tires" $850 I don't know much about Fieros, so I don't know if this a GT, or if there is a difference in GT and standard. It's in the Grand Rapids area, here's the number if you (or anbody else) is interested. 530-0938. It doesn't have area code, but another ad has a 530 number and it's 616, so that might be it.

well if its a 4 its not a GT they came with the 2.5 iron duke... or the 2.8 v-6 both are junk... but im not sure you might be able to build up that 5 speed 4 banger trans enough to handle a northstar or 3800s/c it might even be the same trans as the v-6 ive never acctually seen a 4 with a 5 speed... hmm i might be intrested once i look up some specs on that...Originally posted by Frank The TankTook the restrictor plate off to give the Red Dragon a little more juice.
