  • Wanted: SBC 350 Engine (longblock)

I'm looking for a long block assembly, SBC 350. It has to have a one-piece rear main seal, so I'm limiting my search to 87-92. Basically looking for a core to build, so it does not need to be in the best of shape, but obviously no cracked blocks or heads wanted.

I don't mind buying heads and block separately, so let me know what you've got! Thanks!!

Why the need for a 1 piece rear main?

Well, I'm not a big fan of two piece rear mains - they tend to leak. I'm not completely against converting an older block but there are so many out there that I'd rather just buy a one-piece to begin with.

Lastly, I already have my crank & flywheel, which (correct me if I am wrong) are not the same between one and two piece seals.

Nope, they aren't the same. So if you already have a 1 piece seal crank you want to use no point in getting a 2 piece seal block.

We have a 5.7 TPI complete motor. But its not going to be the cheapest.

I'm not looking to spend too much - really just looking for a core to build.

WMCC Gary where is local for you? I would be willing to travel some distance if it means finding a good deal. Do you have any contact info on the guy selling these? Thanks!

WMCC Gary thanks for the contact info. I left him a voicemail Friday, but he has yet to get back to me.

b.a.camaro, sorry but I am not interested in a two piece. Are the stock heads from the '77 or something newer? Gotta have the late style bolt hole angles for my intake manifold.
