if i had some way of actually showing all you guys what i am talking about then i would show you but i cant. with the stock mounts i can have an engine in the car but there would never be a transmission. with the mounts that i made it sits at the right hight but it sits sort of side ways i tried to move the mount back today and the brake lines is in the way so i will probly just redo that mount and try to make the holes in the right spot this time.

with the stock mounts on i can put the engine in the car but it sits way to high in the air and when i bolt up the transmission (which i have tried a t5 and a 700r4) the engine sit on a slant backwards an the fan sit above the radiator and i would also be replacing u joints all the time

Then you either don't have the right mounts or just dont have the installed properly.

Do you have the correct transmission mount/member installed?

Must be a PEBCAK problem then cause all the gen I & II SBC have the mounts in the same location.

now does the motor fit under the hood when the carb/air cleaner and everything is on it or does it sit to high then too? it could be that the fan you want to put on the car is to big. i know that my motor in my camaro leans back a little bit too but thats just how it sits in there and i have never had any problems with u joints or anything.

the engine wont fit under the hood it will have to have a scoop.
i was told i could not have it like that but if it works for you then thank you for letting me know that i will have to try that. the fan is a 17 inch i believe and that is from the tip of one blade to the tip of the on below it
