'66 LeMans

    '66 LeMans

    I swear I have seen a few around here...

    My dad had a '66 LeMans back in high school. 326, 421 High-Rise Intake, Holley 750 Double Pumper, Isky Cam, Dougs' Headers, Walker Glasspacks, Three-speed manual with Hurst Shifter.

    Car ran 13s, I think, back in the 60s...

    I doubt I'd ever be able to find his LeMans, but I'd really like to find a '66 LeMans [that does not cost a fortune, like...$1000 or less] - and give it to him.

    If any of you guys spot one...let me know.

    ha, my dad had a 67 LeMans in HS. We almost got a 67 for $1500

    It's easier to make a 3rd gen faster than to make a 4th gen look good

      My dad's was almost that color - more of a cream/banana ish color - with bare metal spots from dents being beaten out. He had some GTO stuff on it (hood, some other junk, I think) - then he painted it green.

          I saw one on craigslist. It was a blue convertible I think. I think they were asking about $2K.

                I want a nice GTO or lemans someday

                I never liked them until I saw and heard one in person, really sharp cars

                  I poked around eBay a bit yesterday, and you're looking at $1500-2000 for one needing a full restore including floors.
