Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

Just my .02 but get a Craftsman Professional. I love mine and I got the top and bottom box for $700 with tax included new. It was the display model at sears. It had a few scratches on it from people looking at it and playing with it but I didn't care because it's a damn tool box

You have the Craftsman black tool box, not a Professional box. BIG difference!!
Here's a tip for you Jake.....bet yourself a US General box from Harbor Frieght...they are cheap and actually a very nice quality box. A couple guys at work here have them.
really depends on what you want to spend - i just looked on craigslist and there are a number of professional boxes - many with tools in the 1500 range
i bought my mac from our snapon rep cause he took it in on trade which is another good way to get a deal

Yea my brother has one of those and I think its pretty good quality for the price.
I donno about the professional series but, most of craftsman boxes are thin like tin cans.. I'd rather take it up the ass and buy a quality Snap On box.

my buddy who is a mechanic is getting out of the field and selling his box. It is a matco. I would say it's 5-6 feet long, 2 feet deep and 4 feet high. Black and is only a year old. It is in almost perfect shape from what I could tell. He's looking for about $4000. He paid $5000 for it when it was new a year ago.
I use Kenndy at work and I have a Waterloo roller bering at home.
Harbor Frieght or Production Tool are good.

I don't have a lot of money to spend on a tool box. I can spend up to $1800. So I will be buying a used tool box.
The box needs to be at least 40" long, 20" deep.

Pretty limited on what you can buy bro.. def. best bet would be getting on craigslist and searching like its yur job.
I think you can get into the Professional Craftsman bottom roller box for around $2K...it's a nice box, same quality as Snap-off or Matco, just more realistic price. I laugh at the guys who spend stupid money on those "high-end" boxes. Our shop is full of them and they have they suffer from the same problems as the more affordable boxes do.
I'll tell ya, I am super impressed with the US General box....It's so cheap (price) and it really is a nice unit....full rolers, liners, greasable casters, good locks....Yeah it's made in China, but who gives a rip really.
There is also another nice line of boxes from International Tool. Very afforadable again.....do a Google search on them....you can usually buy them online and get them delivered for free. I was going to buy thier big bottom roller this year but with my new job I'm not gonna need it anymore.
