i have a brand new rebuilt "broke" 4L60E that was just rebuilt last summer, twice, by the same guy (on here), and it broke again. go figure, right? can you feel im still pissed about it? and he hasnt even questioned me about it. anyways it lost 3rd and 4th gear. not to familiar with trannys, so im unsure what to do with it. i can you what id like to do with it, but its too far to drive.

The '93 F-Body came with a 4L60, or TH700R4, not the 4L60E. Not electronically controlled, he would need the trans from a '93 vehicle, the later trans wouldn't work, it requires electrical connections that don't exist on his car currently, and adding them would be opening a whole new can of worms.

let me second that the 93 is NOT A 4L60-E. it is a plain TH700R4/4L60.

also the 93 4L60 Transmission has a rare ROUND connector plug and not a SQUARE.

The 1993 4L60 will ONLY work for that year......

On a Positive note I dont need a replacement after I found out this information I also found out that you cant find them anywhere. SO I just pulled the trans and took it in for a rebuild with SK and I bought a 2100-2600 stall. 450 for rebuild and 150 for the stall.
