  • 98+ Front Clip

Im looking for a 98+ Trans Am Front clip: Fenders, Lights, Bumper, and Ram Air Hood or Cowl Hood for my '95 Formula. I like the looks better so Im going to throw on the the newer front clip. The only thing is it has to be in good condition, don't care about color as I can get it painted.

    List:
    Fenders
    Lights
    Bumper
    Ram Air Hood
    Metal bumper support
    Foam support pad
    Headlight mounting panel
    Fog lights

Let me know what you have and a price.

    Thanks in advance.

It would be easier to find an LS1 car that was hit in the rear rather than look for the parts alone. You can probably pick up everything you will need for $1000 off a junkyard car or you can spend $2-3000 buying the parts individually. Oh and add these to your parts list...

        Metal bumper support
        Foam support pad
        Headlight mounting panel
        Fog lights
You might even need new plastic under the front end of the car since I do not know whether it was changed from 97-02.

Try LS1tech or a local junkyard. Or if you don't mind spending a little more cash go here...

Are you looking to sell the front clip off your car anytime soon? If so please give us first dibs. Those front end parts could come to be very useful for us on here. Heck there was a guy posting here about 2 weeks ago who needs those parts to fix his car.

Thanks for the long response!!! As well as the other parts needed. Ive called all the places around here and can't find a Trans Am for parts. What is the headlight mounting panel? Im not aware of that at all... If I decided to get rid of the front end parts after I get new Ill deffinantly let you know. Ill probably hang on to the parts, but then again maybe Ill sell it for the money. Ill check them sites as well. Thanks again.

Another thing is, I don't really have the place for a parts car so I can't get another car. As well as Id spend more money on it that I would just getting the parts.

This is what I mean. I bought mine from this seller and am happy with the quality.

You can cram all the parts necessary into the corner in a garage. Like I said, find a junkyard car and yoink all the parts you need. Oh any don't forget you need these metal bracket things too. I don't know that there is a name for them.

Alright. Im going to call around this weekend get some numbers and decide. I really like the newer front end. This is probably going to cost more than what I anticipated and thought it would be. I didn't realize there is so much work involved..haha.

Maybe Ill get an aftermarket ram air hood for now and wait a little while til I get it painted in 2 years if she doesnt sell this spring. Im going to have my buddy who is in Iraq right now have him paint her Pearl Purple Metalic with flakes in the paint...

Sounds cool. I am a fool for purples and pearls.

I got my WS6 hood shipped for $275 off ebay.

This is the same guy that sold me mine. He is near Livonia. He showed up at my door with a sporting a Pickup truck, a broken leg, and a pitbull. LOL. Really cool guy. From what he says, these hoods are the same supplier GM used when producing the Fbody.
