  • WTB: Stock Ls1 engine/ M6Trans w/ everything

Hey.....i love my 96 body style and would like to keep it. But when the motor goes somewhere in the next 80,000 miles, i would like to upgrade the power plant in this beast. But it NEEDS to be an M6 Ls1. I would like it to be stock. But show me what you guys got. I don't need a WHOLE car. Engine/Trans ONLY.

I just may upgrade to the digital guages of a 97. Show me what you guys got!

You will pay the premium for the M6 with it. My dads buddy has one that has a hole in the piston (dry shot nitrous). But I think my dads got his eyes on it for his 68 chevelle.

I don't want a motor that has had nitrious run thru it. Just a nice stock with low miles, i don't want to rebuilt, i want to pop it in wire it up and go. (i know it's going to take a little mroe time than that) by the time i do this i will have a honda civic to drive. Then I will put this in the winter and hopefully do it then!

hahah maybe the true conspiracy is whether he really has an F-body LOL...JK!!!.... well no matter what... you are gonna pay a good chunk of change for an LS1 and the T56. is your car an auto now?... cause if you're converting from auto to manual..that's gonna involve some extra work

heck no! No automatic in MY HOUSE! except for my mom and dads car. heh heh......it's definitly a 6 speed and there is NO way i will go automatic. I don't care if I have to pay a little more for it, it's worth every cent!

Correct me if I'm wrong but don't you already have a T-56 in your car that will mate up to an LS1? There is a guy on LS1tech hat is selling his longblock LS1 for a decent price and I think its got heads/cam already too. For $1500

I do have a T-56.....but is it the same as the Ls1....so it will bolt right up? if so that would be amazingly awesome.

Thanks for the thread. i will check it out!

I checked through some of his other posts and it seems that was his race motor, ran nitroius thru it. Think it's still safe? will it bolt right on to my 6 speed?

i mean i'm going to drive this alot during the summer as my dailey driver so with both the heads and cam would it still get good gas mileage? what do you think?

Hmmm some people have great experiences with nitrous and if its run and used properly that shouldn't be a problem but I'm presonally turned off by the use of it and would further enquire about the motor before purchasing.
