  • LS1 intake

my cousin is doing a "pro-touring" kinda resto rod from his NovaII.... he's got a pretty good start to the car. anyways he is "mocking up" a motor so he can get dimensions for the whole engine bay of the car.

anyways i'm letting him barrow my stock 98 heads. but he also needs an LS1 intake to get some dimensions from.....

Does anyone have an old LS1 intake that they have sitting around from taking it off and swapping say a FAST intake??? lol....???

if anyone wants to get rid of theirs for a few bucks, or wanna let me/him barrow it for a while, that would be greatly appreciated. im probably gonna catch up with him friday to give him my heads.

hahaha... yea for some reason i had a feeling someone would be taking off LOL.... yea if you want a few bucks that would be cool...just name a price... i told him he could barrow my heads as long as he sold 'em on ebay or something for me when he's done with 'em LOL...so yeah name a price.. i have no clue what an LS1 intake is worth?

Hmm this could be going somewhere, instead of him giving me cash you think he'd sell some of my stuff on e-bay like the heads and intake when hes done? If not then he can just borrow it I'm not concerned about any cash, maybe a case of bud light would suffice.

haha hell yea. i would get you a case for borrowing your intake. but yea... like i said my heads are useless to me. and im sure that intake isn't gonna do you much good sitting around. and i know my cousin is kindof like brian (computer genius wise) he makes websites and stuff on his own just for fun. so im guessin he could do some ebay stuff possibly?... so yeah im gonna talk to him friday about my heads. and i said if he could sell 'em for me when he's done that would be cool. if he could sell that intake for you as well...that would be cool too. especially since both our cars are 98's so it's kinda a matched set lol....not that the intakes ever changed anyways besides the EGR thing on the LS6's but that wasn't till the 00's....

but yeah if i could borrow that and load you a case and either get it sold when done and throw you some more money or give it back, that would be sweet!

Hey its ok I'm honored to be the few to have an LS1. Not only that but I bet half of this site doesn't even have V8s which is cool with me, makes me car seem faster and lifts my ego lol. Nah I'm j/p I can't make fun since I probably have the slowest LS1 around right now.

Sure the hell is... after having done Heads, Cam, Intake, full exhaust and other bolt-ons on my TPI I will be just short of your stock HP. About 300hp/425lb-ft I figure.

Yeah I'm sorry if I said my car was slow and offended you guys but I probably won't ever say its fast untilk I cut a sub 10 second time slip its just my train of thought. As for the car down the street go for it and never look back.

yeah LS1's are still good motors...it seems there are a lot of "factory freaks" people putting down rediculous HP#'s with just cams and crap...i've seen some wicked numbers with that "Magic-Stick" cam
