Level 1 support means bottom of the totem pole. He meant 1 or 2, not "one half"

What are the odds of starting pay in the $15 range? Thats about the biggest loss I can afford to take.

Is there room to advance quickly from this position or is someone likely to be stuck here a while? I'd love to move to a bigger company and get my foot in the door, I just can't live on that pay

there is plenty of room to grow, but that happens slowly. I was informed pay is closer to $13.50

That sounds better -- 11/hr pay is bottom of the barrel for IT helpdesk IMHO.

Not with Benefits...401k, BCBS, optical and dental, short and long term disability and life insurance. Not a bad gig for a young guy for now.

I started at $12 back in 2006 with all of the above and had absolutely no IT experience... entry level. Expecting someone to have IT experience and start at $11.50 is asking a lot, IMHO. Again, I'm just talking about the 11.50. $13.50 is better.

Right, they just don't want someone without any IT background. We have had them before and they never worked out. This is why the rules have changed.
