and have to realize you will prolly have to take a small pay cut. 90% of the people who are looking will not work for less then what they previously made

Have to start applying for anything really.

When I lost my job I applied TONS of places. Retail, restaurants,hospital..yada yada yada.

Got hired at Walmart pushing carts..but needed the job to support Antonio. Cant really be to picky nowadays. Started at a level 1..now I am at a level 5 doing tires and oil changes (pay scale on type of job) in just 2 years.

            Gotta start somewhere.

exactly! That is the main issue. People that were making 6 figures think they are still entitled to 6 figures. My uncle is one of them. He has been jobless since last year but thinks he needs high paying job in an office instead of just taking what he can get

Isn't that the truth!!!!....And I don't understand that mind-set really. If you don't currently have a job, how much are you making????? (don't include your unemployment benefit, that's a whole nother subject) I think the answer is 0!?!?!? Therefore anything willing to pay you something is better than nothing!!!! Here's another angle....When you started that job (5,10,15,20yrs ago) that you got layed off from, did they start you off at the $20 an hr you were making when they showed you the door?? I'm guessing not!!......Sorry for the small rant, it's just one thing I don't understand about people lately.

I hope you find job soon. What type of job are you looking for???

Yup, take whatever you can get. I've been eying the market because I'd like to make more money but at the same time I don't want to lose the job security I have now.

Maybe try a temp. agency, my place is only hiring temps. at this time with the economy the way it is and the morons in charge at the state and federal levels of government. They do not want the burden of a full time employee under there benefits until....who knows when.
