Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

i have a chevy 307 small block that needs to be rebuilt, i dont have room to keep it in the garage so i am selling it for $100. it does not have the valve covers that are in the picture. so if you are interested let me know.
thank you Dustin
i took more pics of the engine because i don't know exactly what everything is called. i have some more parts for this engine that i would sell for a seperate cost, if you are interested in the other parts just say so and i will take pics and get you a price.
chevy made 307 engines in the 60's and then it was bought out by olds.
the man i bought this engine from had it running and in a vehicle but the vehicle broke and he had the engine on a engine stand for a few years when i bought it. and i have not had time to tear it apart and rebuild it and now it's just in the way. i had planned to put it in my camaro but i bought a different engine with more power instead.
Well, I just have some last minute discussions to go over with my dad tonight about this. I'm in Lenox (about 2 hours away). Would it be possible to set up a meeting place somewhere (reasonably of course) inbetween to pick it up? Also, I'm assuming the cylinders, crank, and intake are included right? Those are what I'm most interested in being included.

I WANT NOISE! SPEED! AN ENGINE THAT SHAKES MY INTERNAL ORGANS LIKE THEY GOT PARKINSON'S! I DONT WANT AN ENGINE THAT IS PARTIALLY POWERED BY MY LAPTOP BATTERY!

I think it is because I take it in and out all the time, the rubber has just stretched out, especially at the bottom where it is really thin. It annoys me more then anything.
The Chevy 307 was made from 1968-1973 as a passenger car engine. They ranged from 115-200 hp. Basically they were part of the progression to bigger engines like the 327-350-and 400 small blocks.
While not known for power obviously, as far as I know they were a reliable runner. When I built engines I ran across one of these and actually still have the block. With a 3.875" bore and 3.25" stroke they won't breath quite as well as a 350, but with good heads, intake carb and headers I personally believe they could be a very capable street small block.
Here's why, the 305 that so many late 2nd gens and most 3rd gens with v8's had has a 3.740" bore x 3.48" stroke. The stroke is the same as the 350, however with the smaller bore it's hard to make them breath. However, it can be done. With the 307's .135" larger bore and .25" shorter stroke, I believe that it can breath better than a 305 and make RPM's quicker than a 350, comperable to a 327 as that also has a 3.25" stroke.
So if somebody is going to build one of these I'd be very interested to see how it turns out. Even a budget rebuild with Vortec heads and a good cam intake, carb and headers I could easily see one of these making 250-300 hp relatively easily. There's my $0.02 worth.
As Jeff said, the 307 olds shares nothing with the 307 chevy, except that they are both pushrod overhead valve V-8's. That's where it stops.
HA!
Beat ya! ...lol...
Maybe the biggest difference is the Chevy 307 can be built.
Can't do much with an Olds 307.

Yeah but you cheated, I posted info, you just put a link
only thing I've ever seen an Olds 307 be good for is driving, good reliable motor for a DD or something in an old delta or riviera. Seen many go 150k plus with regular oil changes and maintenance. Have seen a handful go over 200k as well. But that's all I'd do with it.
I know a guy that got a steal of a deal on a running 455 Olds and put it in a 79 camaro, I just thought it was wrong, sell the motor, buy a small block.
yes the crank, cylinders, and intake are included.
give me a call to set up a pick up area my number is 1517-857 3617
try to think of a rest area off I-94
thank you Dustin
Excellant. I'll be thinking of the next closest day I can make a trip out to meet up with ya. I'll give you a call when I find some dates and see if it works with you. Cant wait!
