  • FS: 94-97 LT1 Ram-Air/Ultra-Z Air-Box Assembly

I am selling my Brand New 94-97 WS6 LT1 Ram-Air/Ultra-Z Air-Box Assembly. I bought it to try to fit it on my 1996 V6 Firebird but had not luck.

Since it is brand new I am asking $275 for it.

Here is a brief description of the air box:

Easy bolt-on installation. The air box assembly includes all installation hardware, hood seal, low restriction air filter and wiring harness for MAF (1994-1997 vehicles only). Adds up to 15 horsepower on V8 engines, 10 HP on V6. Use with SLP hoods (Part #100000 & #100002).

    PRICE DROP $237 SHIPPED

Normally if you bought these parts from SLP you would pay:

    $49.95 - Air-Box Bellows
    $112.95 - Air-Box Base
    $129.95 - Air-Box Cover

That is a total of $292.85 just for those three parts alone.

    I am selling the:

    Air-Box Bellows
    Air-Box Base
    Air-Box Cover
    Air-Box Screws
    Air-Box Seals
    Air Filter
Mass Air Flow Sensor Harness Extension
    Breather Hose

    For $275.

On the 1996 3.8L V6 the Throttle Body is angled sharply down and to the right, the bend is way too tight to work for me. If i had a 3.8L from a 1999-2002 Firebird/Camaro then the TB would have come straight out and I would not have had this problem.

You may be able to see the TB problem from my engine pics in My Garage.

Do you have any detailed pics of you engine bay?

This is where my problem was.

The TB is too close and is going the opposite direction.

I did a Google search for the 3.4L v6 and it looks like you TB does not come up very far and it comes out straight. I doubt you would have th mounting problems that I had.

If no one else buys this I may have to. Gotta find the Ram air hood first though...

So what does the engine bay look like with these mounted? I was thinking it went on top of the intake plenum, but seeing the pictures of what it comes with, I'm confused on where it goes.

goes on top of the radiator like the 98+ cars with the lids, then has a tube running from it to your tb. Filter part is of course on the top

It bolts right onto the top of the black plastic radiator support. The same plastic radiator support that has the fan belt routing diagram.

What you see in my pictures is the Air-Box Base and it fully mounted in possition.

If Brian decides that he doesn't want it you have second dibs. You'll more than likely run into the same problem as i did unless you have a solution. Either way i am selling it. I don't have the time to custom modify the TB and i have made up my mind that I am sticking with my V6.

If you are interested in this air-box please speak up. If I don't have a sale within a week then I will be forced to put it on Ebay. I need the money so that I can afford the new rear end that i want to purchase.
