  • New Takeoff 93-02 DeCarbon struts/shocks

I have a set of new SLP takeoff DeCarbon(orange) struts/shocks for 93-02 F bodies. These are the stock ones that come on Camaros/Firebirds. SLP took them off on cars that got the optional Bilstein shock package. I bought these as spares for my car but have decided I'm going to upgrade to something better when I lower it. Asking $175 shipped for them. I'll take $150 if you pick them up. I'm located 20 miles south of Grand Rapids.

PRICE DROP!!! New price: $100 picked up, $125 shipped!!! Somebody buy these!

How will these work if I were to lower my car 1.8" front and back? Can they be revalved like the Bilsteins?

I don't believe these can be revalved, but I'm not sure. I know nothing about what revalving involves. They probably won't work well if you're going to lower it. Everything I've read says these and even the optional Bilstiens aren't valved right to be used with lowering springs.

Alright. I'm thinking of a 1.8" drop to get the gap between the wheels and wheel wells down to a nice level . . . I've always loved the stance of a lowered F-Body on 'vette wheels. . . Thanks for the info! I'll probably get some Bilstein HD's and have them revalved.

I have DeCarbons on my car in the front with lowering springs, because mine were junk. Haven't had any problems here

How much did you lower it? I'm thinking 1.8, but I don't want to have to replace the shocks too often due to premature wear, and I'm hoping the revalved Bilsteins will help avoid that.

But isn't that what's stock in those cars?

Decarbons were stock on all 4th gen F bodies with SLP offering an optional Bilstein package.
