  • FS: LT1 long block, ECU, k-member, and steering rack.

The motor has about 102k on it, it came out of my 1994 firebird. the motor has no issues with it, it ran strong before it came out. i only took it out to go to a 5.3.

The motor does not burn any oil, no oil leaks. it did have a power steering fluid leak from someplace that i never fixed because i knew the whole setup was coming out this winter. i have the ECU that came in the car as well, it was a t56 car. the suspension/brakes are not for sale.

i'll start the bidding at $500obo for the motor & ecu, $75 for the k-member, $30 for the steering rack. i'll make a package deal if someone will come take it all.

all items located in Mason MI.

I'm curious to know what you get for it all since I need to get rid of the exact same setup. I've been thinking about just scrapping the whole K assembly and the motor had a rod going so I'm not sure it's worth much.

A complete engine with a spun bearing would be perfect for a project id like to do in the future. But until my finances recover a bit more im not in the market yet. Dont scrap it!

Free bump! Imo $500 for this engine is a very fair price. I think youll definitely get it, but LT1 buyers arent heavy in supply it may take some time.

I would buy it if your decide to do that! I have parted out three LT1 in the past four years. If it something you want gone soon PM me what you would take for it.
His price is very fair, like Joel said its just finding the person needing an engine.

The motor I have no problem parting out since I may keep the block. I'm just not sure that there is any value in the K member since most people aren't looking to swap an LT1 into a 4th gen. If they are, they want a turn key engine which I don't have.

There are people out there that want complete rebuildable engines too. My buddy looked for months for one before he finally got one 6 months ago. He wanted to do a complete build while still driving his 97 SS and then do the swap in a weekend. Im probably going to do the same for my car eventually, and id like to pick up another for another non-fbody project too
