Hey All,
I am getting back into working on my car again, and the next step is a t-56 swap and doing a little work on my engine... I am trying to do stuff as much on a budget as I possibly can, now my thought here was that the most economical thing to do would be to buy a clunky 4th gen with the t-56/lt1 combo and take all the transmission swap parts, rebuild the trans and part out the car.. it just so happens that I have a cousin who has just the thing (95 Camaro?).. and I may be able to pick it up for a decent price.. my concern is having a car sitting in my driveway for a year or more not selling any parts (I'm assuming the car will be mostly stock..)
so the serious question is, if I buy this thing.. would anyone possibly be interested in stock parts (assuming stuff is in decent shape)? I can say from the get go, I will NOT be using the LT1 motor, so that would be up for grabs.. only stuff I would be using would be all the manual trans parts, and possibly the rear end.. let me know what you think?
