  • For Sale: 1998 Z28 roller/parts car

I intended on moving this car a while back, but this winter didn't make that feasible.

    Long story short:
Bought this car from Jeremy in Grand Haven. Built a drivetrain, had it on the road and was fixing it up to make a cheap/fun summer car. Parked it on the side of our street because the 1960 Impala was coming back to the shop from having the reworked body dropped back on the frame. I went to bed early as I had to leave for work at 4am, so the car sat overnight on the side of the road. Came back after work to a nice '60 Impala and a side swiped 98 Z.

I'd like to get $400 as is w/o the wheels. Interior is shot, floors have some rust but isn't a Flintstones car by any means. I have been scavenging parts here and there for car that replaced this one. Any questions, feel free to ask. I will consider parting it but I'd have to move the car to my brothers house near Greenville. I have a few jobs coming in soon so I need the room.

If you do part it. I'd be interested in the front spindles and calipers. Think I have a set of Ls1 front rotors floating around here somewhere.

I'd have to lock in parts equaling my asking price before I part it out. I need the car gone and would rather not have it sit at my brothers.

With that said, almost certain the front driver side caliper needs to be rebuilt.

I'll copy my response to Nick here, didn't have a ton of time last night to post all the details.

Interior is sparse. I used the driver seat bottom foam for my red 98Z. Every cover has a rip, tear, or is completely shot. Dash is out, used the cluster on the red car but I will have a cluster to go with - someone ripped out the SES light on it though. Dash pad cracked while removing the dash, it went into the trash. I used the clock spring and a couple small parts out of the steering column.

          Glass T-top car.

No wheels - you will need some to put on so I can pull mine off.

No exhaust. I pulled the exhaust off this car and put it on the red Z. I just traded the SLP LM1 that was on the red car for an intake I needed on another build.

The front bumper cover is rough. Some rips and tears, bad paint, etc. Front fenders are pretty good except for bottom rear mounts, one (if not both) are broken and I remember seeing what looked to be sheet metal screws to secure it. I have two NBM stock Z28 hoods. Both will need a little body work before paint.

No engine, engine mounts, harness, ECM, trans, driveshaft, radiator, AC components, etc. Gas tank is out - need to remove my Racetronix pump setup before the tank goes with the car.

Good parts - 4 channel 3.23 posi rear (Eaton, not Torsen), spindles/brake components (besides sticky front driver side caliper), K member, clean OEM springs, hatch, glass, t-tops, sail panel, tail panel, driver door.

Don't be afraid to ask questions Price is cheap because it really is more of a parts car than a roller. The car came from Illinois and looks like it was an all weather driver.

Looking to sell the car as is/whole right now.

I don't have the space to part it out here. If I move it to a place where I can part it, I'm not sure I'd have the time It's a 40 minute round trip to my brother's place and no access to air tools.

                      $350 gets it.

I had to bring back two cars to the house earlier than expected. We're at 6 vehicles in the driveway, 3 in the garage This has to go!
