  • Place that buys Cat converters?

I'm getting ready to put headers and ORY on my car and I was curious if anyone knew a place that bought converters other than local junk yards?

I took the one from my 95 LT1 camaro into the local salvage yard "Clarks" on red arrow hwy in Lawrence and got $70 bucks. Mine was solid and not burned out. I thought it was a good deal. Had 94,000 miles on the clock when I removed it. They won't quote you over the phone....just gotta bring it in. Other than that I don't know any local peeps that will buy them and pay decent.

Why is everything 2 hours from me I have two magnaflow/carsound cats that have been sitting in my garage for like 3 years now. They were only like $70 new so they can't be worth too much.

I know the salvage yards don't pay much at all for aftermarket cats. Put it on craigslist if it's still in good shape.

yea aftermarket converters don't have the metals the stock ones do, so they are worthless really when scraping them out
