SpecIal trans for sale (TH400)

This if from my buddy, Ower friend was building a hot rod and past away and he got this trans, Its a TH 400 set up for a clutch, No TORQUE CONVERTER, You can take off like a clutch than everything else is automatic, So basicly you have any type of STALL speed you would like to launch at, This is perfect if you have a manual car and want a auto, and still keep the clutch.. You can run it on any motor,, DOES NOT COME WITH A BELL HOUSING.... You will have to put your own on, to mount to your motor.. ITS NEVER BEEN RUNNED.... $$$ 350.00

hmm very intresting but how did you take the bell housing off a 400? being its part of the body... did they just cut it? and if so did they drill and tap holes for a manual bell housing? and which one im pretty intrested seen one setup like this before and it looked pretty sweet..

Probably had to so that you can get a fork or lines for a slave cylinder in there. Plus, if you are going to be using this setup and making power I would want a shatterproof bell housing anyway.

there is a threded plate were the cut the bell housing off just got off the phone with him, and going over there at 5 pm to get a pic..

its a hell of a deal even just for a 400 they are getting harder and harder to find unless your willing to buy right from jegs or something... does it have the clutch or anything with it? and if not what style clutch is it setup for?

Far as I now you can set it up too any clutch,, here is some pic,, This thing will handle lots of power, Dave the guy that owened it before he passed away was going to put it in his street rod, big block that was blown with over 900+ HP.. He had $2500 into it, Its just dusty been sittying around, will be cleaned before picked up...

very cool that plate is thick as hell looks very strong... let me do a little research on it... ive seen them in custom setups before i just wanna find out how people like them and what kinda setup they use for a bell housing and clutch to see what my final cost would end up being for everything... it would be perfect for when i want to get gas millage and when i dont mind wasting it... i hate to just toss a huge stall on it for everyday driving and fill that tank even more... and i regret it even more when i dont have it at a stop light next to a ricer... dont give them an inch...
