My Dad just got three of them for work with 27" 2650x1440 displays. I want one sooo bad, but I can't until I sell this rig.

I have almost the same setup, i5 instead of the i7 and some minor other hardware differences. Good SSD's make these systems absolutely fly. I think my setup ranks 7.8 on "Windows Experience"

        Good luck with the sale!

I started out with the i5 but wanted to take advantage of the Hyperthreading when I eventually got Adobe CS6 and yeah that Samsung SSD really flys with this setup.

I've never installed windows on this machine so I don't know what the Windows Experience would be, but I have Geekbenched it with OSX 10.8.3 and it gets a score of 16,131.

Nice machine. That thing has to rip!

I have a retina 15" with a 27" thnderbolt diplay here at work. I do like it a lot. I don't know if I would recommend it for a home setup. My office covers everything for cost, but there are no upgrades with it. You can get a OWC harddrive, but really nothing else. If there are issues you are back at Apple.

I have a Buffalo Thunderbolt drive as well. I run windows off of that drive because I need engineering software as well to handle my 3D stuff. It was a pain in the tail end getting that installed with an external DVD drive.

It is a great computer, especially when I travel. I guess if it were my personal $$$'s I might go for the regular version of the machine with just the HD display.

Good luck. I would say that your for sale machine is worth close to the $2k. That is about the best processor and video you can get. Just finding the buyer is always the game.

Yeah she rips especially when it comes to video rendering! Which I don't do a whole lot but when I do it doesn't take much longer then what the video is.

And something like your setup is what I'm looking to run. I currently have a 17" MBP plus this Hackintosh and I'd really like to step back down to one computer.

                Offers if anyones got one...

Turn it into a BitCoin miner and have it make you some money.

After looking at it I would love to but my graphics card has got nothing on the dedicated mining machines they have now.
