Very possible, Jon and I figured out it was actually cheaper to buy the things to powder coat then sending out everything to get coated, plus its just cool to have. These shafts came about when we found the benefits of them so we went and pulled a couple to modify for our cars, then thought other people could benefit from it as well. If there is interest we will be in touch B, if there isnt then...Originally posted by meissen View PostSo are you guys starting a new business powdercoating steering shafts and other parts?
Powder coating we are still "learning" although my parts are coming out really nice, we are starting to explore with colors, wheels and other parts.sigpic

Well how about next weeked I'll swing by with the bird, weather permitting and we'll get 'er done, that work? I gotta wait for another pay check, and this weekend is pretty much over for me.
Darren I think I still have your number in my phone, so I'll give ya a call on Friday or something if that works
Oh also do you have a welder Darren? If I bring a pipe over (maybe something to drink) we could chop my cat out?Last edited by NullHead; January 13th, 2013, 06:18 PM.

Yeah Jon that works with me man, just give me a call or a text and we can for sure do that. Yes I have Jon's welder here and he says we can use it for your exhaust so we can help you out with that as well. I will let you know that I am free all day during the day on friday and probably saturday afternoon and night. Just whatever works for you.Originally posted by NullHead View PostWell how about next weeked I'll swing by with the bird, weather permitting and we'll get 'er done, that work? That would be awesome
Now I have a stock 2 1/4" exhaust on my bird, do I need like a 2 1/2" pipe to fit over? Or do you have a pipe expander that would work. I think I have a 2 1/4" pipe out in my garage that I used to piece the cat together, but it's blown up now ... I'm pretty sure my muffler's plugged because of it now too. I work till 6:00 on Friday, so either after work on on Saturday is probably best for me.

wait what? Damn I had no idea about the header/exhaust thing ... I need prettymuch a complete exhaust form the headers/Y-pipe back. I have some headman shorties and the matching Y-pipe, but I'd love to go to a 3" some day to accommodate future upgrades.
Also, I can appreciate a bump for shafts. Nice extendable ones.

not ONLY a steering upgrade but a WEIGHT reduction mod!
Took advantage of Brians road racing on a budget project and talked him into shaving some more weight off his car...

LS1 4th gens dont use any form of rag joint / isolator (are those the same thing?) , so I can't imagine it is a huge deal. I plan on swapping to one on my car since my rag joint is shot and has play in it.Originally posted by WMCCjames View PostHow much more road noise do you get from these?-Joel

they might have the ragjoint/isolater on the inside just like those year trucks. i forget the switch date but i know 95-96 for the gmt400s were oddball years and ive heard of the rest of GMs lineup getting the same sort of treatment.91 Trans am, 305, Lt1 cam, 24lb injectors, headers, SLP LM2, SW chassis, massive panhard, lowered, modded TPI, Tuned, 4.10s, Lincoln locked
