Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

I am thinking about getting the Rediversary car back up and running to help move it. Interested in a nice, no issues, 4l60-e with a 3200-3600 converter for it. I have a BRAND NEW Detroit Gearbox TH400, RMVB, Trans Brake rated to 800hp I was putting in the Trans Am that I would consider some sort of trade. Madman style Locking dipstick tube included! I also have a BMR crossmember for the TH400 as well I could toss in. Let me know what you have if interested and we could work out a trade! Invoice for $2014.36 for the TH400, still in the wrapping!
Good deal for someone. I'd offer up a trade but my 4l60e is all stock. Only things I have are a brand new Yank converter and brand new BMR 4l60e crossmember with the torque arm mount on it (to get it off the trans)
Are you talking about an even trade for someone's trans and converter or trade + cash?
It really depends what they have. If it is just a stock 4l60-e, I would need some cash. If it is a built 4l60-e with a nice converter that I could use, it could be straight up.
how about a 700R4 MVB Vig 3600... its still a MVB car but youll have the OD... strait trade... this trans is under my SS right now... fyi this trans will take just about anything you can throw at it... if your interested i can have it out in a hurry... should add it currently has fresh royal purple in it...

Interested, unsure what is needed to convert that into my car. Would prefer a direct bolt in 60-e....
Bolts directly to the car... You would have to use the ls1 special flexplate for the converter because factory ls1 motors have the dumb curved flexplate, but it bolts to your factory ls1 auto tranny mount. With my lt1 it was seriously an unbolt the dumb t56 and install this trans... The 4l60e and 700r4 are basically the same trans... Except the 60e is electronic.

Nope basically it's a 4l60 that you shift manually but when I had it built I spent way too much on it... I forget everything in it but I do know it has like the 1 piece thick clutch packs upgraded bands and steels, the shop here that built it told me it would hold 1000hp... I ran it in my z28 for a year, tore the z down and the trans was stored... I pulled it back out 2 years ago had it given the once over twice put fresh fluid in it and plopped it in the SS... I've put very few miles on the SS... But the car has already made 430rwhp at 4k and 598torque and the trans and converter didn't even hesitate taking it... Basically I love this trans... But they don't make a trans brake for a 700r4
