  • FS355 4 bolt splayed ltxcomplete shortblock and built ultra bell 4l65e(heavilymodded)

Well first off, i am selling this because i am building a whole new motor, and cant justify ripping this one apart. the motor and trans are in the car right now and you can hear/ride in the car to insure everything is in perfect working order. the parts have 4k on them but i just put fresh components in it last summer(bearings, Plasma molly rings, gaskets ect(the motor didnt need it but since it was out i did it.. also the rings are gaped for 150-200 shot as well(has not seen spray though) i can go in more detail on the motor(parts ect) if someone is seriously interested. this same combination that was in a friends trans am similar to mine(most of you know who's i am talking about, it was going 9s with a 200ish shot). so this combination will hold some serious power. more about the motor, its a 97 lt1 block(stock one out of my car) 4.030 bore, splayed 4 bolt mains($500 alone) forged pistons and rods with arp cap screws. the machine work alone on this block is over $1200 bucks. has ARP studs and melling high pressure pump with the gm white spring, cloyes single(very stout) rolling chain(i am keeping the cover though) also the pan is a new pan powdercoated gloss black as well. i am sure i am missing things but can tell more about the motor if needed. after adding up receipts(over $2600) i am going to ask $1800. thats everything you need minus a cam and front timing cover. or have the AI cam with it for $2000 just get some heads and that and you have a good set up. and proven that its going to work. here are some pics. 0212001649.jpg0214001705.jpg0215001732a.jpg

    now for the trans.
first off i have never seen one like this and probably wont. i had a professional machine shop custom fit a SFI ultra bell bellhousing on it.. yeah they dont make them to fit 4l60s directly from ultra bell. this has 1k on it as well. it has all the best components and will take a lot of power. part list.
    SFI ultra bell housing
GM 5 pinion front and rear planetaries(not cheap off brand ones)
    4l65e low roller clutch
    Beast sunshell
All new GM solenoids and new wire harness
    Late model(bearing type) reaction shaft
    Raybestos clutches(extra ones fitted in)
    New sun gear
Trans go HD-2c shift kit(slightly modified)
case is out of a 96 Trans am it has early model tailshft/VSS
    stiffer springs used
    all new bushings throughout
it was thouroughly cleaned and prepped
    all new seals throughout
    Sonnax billet servo
    wideband.

    Converter:
Yank SS3600 with BILLET front cover modified by Mike Ridings.
Ridings upgraded the stator and used higher quality sonnax springs in the stator assembly. it was built for spray. expect it to stall from 3600-4000 depending on application.
this trans has been a awesome trans and will hold some serious power.
you can daily drive this converter if you wanted.. very tame until you get after it. like i mentioned as well it is still in the car so the buyer can see how it shifts and drives before they purchase it. i have a TON of money in this transmission, so for this i am looking to get $1800 for the trans an converter. just put it in and drive it. here are some pics.2012-04-18192307.jpg2012-04-18192346.jpg
also will have my AI cam for sale and my ported and powdercoated Intake. but will probably just do another thread eventually. thanks guys.

Tim Gietzen(he has built a few trans for some fbodys on here(Jeff Farr is one of those) if i didn't need a trans brake i would just use this, because i know it will take the power i want to throw at it.

Its the stock GM crank(was in excelent shape just had it polished so still uses standard bearings) the gm crank holds a ton of power. this motor makes about 42xwhp and have never seen one break.

The factory cast crank can take a ton of power... This car is owned by jason warren and it's a 355 lt1 with a stock crank and stock pcm with a 250 shot and it goes 9.3's at a 140.... So needless to say whoever buys this motor will never have to worry about breaking it. Good luck selling it, to bad i'll spank that ass before you do
