Yes it would, if you have a 95-97 LT1. I have a 94, so it is a different drive style.

                Is this vented or non-vented?

It would be vented. Pin/dowl drive is vented, spline is unvented.

Peter, this is the same thing that I have in my car and its been working great. I keep it under 5500 and have faith it will last many more thousands of miles.

I guess my only hesitation at this point is whether or not the opti is a possible culprit to some of the running issues my car's been having since I took it out of storage. I replaced my water pump two summers ago, and I didn't have any problems driving it all last summer.

from what you said how it ran on the dyno, I can only assume that the Opti may be a part of your issue.

mine ran decent but had a few hiccups before I swapped the opti. Now its mint from start up to rev limiter.

                              Opti
                              Wires
                              Plugs

is where I would start with your car.
